This course is 8:00 am to 5:30 pm daily and designed to assist participants to obtain Florida Supreme Court Certification as a Family Mediator. Exercises have been designed to explore the participants’ negotiation skills, familiarize participants with the Florida Family Court System and introduce attendees to an exciting and rewarding profession. Take this opportunity to open a new door and build your resume. All persons are welcome to enroll in this Course, however please be advised that applicants for Certification as a Family Mediator through the Florida Supreme Court are required to meet minimum standards for certification through their education and mediation experience. If you do not have at least a Master’s Degree please inquire with our offices prior to enrolling in this Course. You do not need to be an attorney to take this course. This course is 40 hours long.

MEDIATION CERTIFICATION TRAINING
Location of Training: 6441 East Colinial Drive, Orlando, Florida, 32807. Please be advised that the location of the training is subject to change based on the number of attendees. If the location for the training changes, you will be notified within 24 hours of the change by email.

Each day the training will begin at 8:00 AM and end at 5:30 PM.
EARLY REGISTRATION, STUDENT AND MILITARY DISCOUNT AND FEE INFORMATION
For registrations received 14 days before the start datre the registration fee is $895.00 For registrations received less than 14 days the fee is $945.00. Enrollment in and post-secondary educational institution or active members of the military will receive a fifty dollar ($50.00) discount on the applicable registration fee. We accept cash, checks and Credit Cards. For registration fees paid by check, please make all checks payable to Alternative Dispute Resolution, LLC or Barbara Peterson’s Resolution Center.

CANCELLATION POLICY
PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW THIS CANCELLATION POLICY SINCE NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Cancellations must be in writing and received by Arve A. Wikstrom, MBA, JD via U.S. certified mail at the aforementioned address no later than 14 days prior to class start. Failure to cancel your registration 14 days prior to class date, will result in forfeiture of $350.00 of your registration fee previously sent or paid. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY SCHEDULED TRAINING AND, IF THIS OCCURS, A FULL REFUND WILL BE PROVIDED TO THOSE WHO HAVE PAID THE REGISTRATION FEE.
FLORIDA SUPREME COURT FAMILY CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Florida Supreme Court Family Mediator Certification is based on a point system. All persons applying for certification as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator are required to accumulate 100 total points with a minimum of 30 points to be awarded for successful completion of the applicable Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediation Training Program. Successful completion of the applicable Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediation Training Program requires the attendee to be in attendance for the entire course. No exceptions will be granted for this requirement. An additional 25 points may be awarded to the applicant for education and previous mediation experience. The remaining 45 points must be obtained through the applicant’s mentorship experience. An applicant must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and substantial mediating experience such as mediating 100 Florida County Court Mediation Cases or a graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution. YOU DO NOT NEED ANY LEGAL TRAINING TO BECOME A FLORIDA SUPREME COURT COUNTY MEDIATOR. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THE TRAINING COURSE.
